The Lord was truly
faithful, and I have learnt
to depend on Him more as
a result. God has opened
my eyes to the realities and
difficulties of life in Nepal,
reflecting the struggles so
many in this world face.
The most memorable moment on
the elec琀椀ve was my two-day trip to
Pikey Peak! I hiked up to the 4065m
al琀椀tude summit at sunrise together
with two friends from the hospital,
and simply stood in awe as I marvelled God’s wonderful crea琀椀on,
staring into the face of the Himalayas including Mount Everest itself!
A few other notable experiences
outside of work were celebra琀椀ng
Nepali New Year together with the
medical o昀케cers where we enjoyed
a tradi琀椀onal Nepali picnic, experiencing a local wedding (which went
on for several days!), and a very
special Easter Sunday service when
the en琀椀re church community stood
worshipping on a nearby rock in
the early morning, a tradi琀椀on they
keep each year, celebra琀椀ng Jesus’
resurrec琀椀on!
As much as I thoroughly enjoyed
my elec琀椀ve and am just so grateful

for the experiences I have gained,
I must give all the credit to God. I
have had to rely heavily on Him, as
I stepped into a foreign culture and
昀椀rmly out of my comfort zone. The
Lord was truly faithful, and I have
learnt to depend on Him more as a
result. God has opened my eyes to
the reali琀椀es and di昀케cul琀椀es of life
in Nepal, re昀氀ec琀椀ng the struggles so
many in this world face. As I look
back on my 琀椀me away, there is also
much to take forward as I return
to the UK and take this next step
and transi琀椀on to becoming an FY1
doctor soon.
Finally, I want to take this opportunity to thank MMN for your

trip possible. Thank you for all the
prayers that carried me through
this deeply informa琀椀ve 琀椀me
away. I am very grateful for the
